i have two gps trimble 5700, i need change frequency .what i need to do?

Question:i have two gps trimble 5700, i need change frequency .what i need to do?

I purchased two Trimble 5700 with different requency, one another and 410/430 MHz another 450/470 MHz, can I change the frequency to keep boths gps in the same frequencyt? thanks

Answer:

The FCC has standardized on the frequency 450/470 for the Survey and Engineering industry in the United States. The only options you have if you want to use both the receivers as rovers is to either replace the 410/430 MHz radio with a 450/470 or purchase an external 450/470 radio and use the external radio to receive the base radio corrections.

If you are using one of the receivers as a base station the internal radio doesn’t matter. All you need is a base radio that broadcasts 450/470. We have used Trimble HPB 450 base radios that will solve your problem. We also have Pacific Crest external receive only 450/470 radios that will interface with your Trimble 5700.

Please feel free to contact us if you additional questions.
