WE RECENTLY PURCHASED A GPS RECEIVER VIA EBAY ,A R8 GPS RECEIVER. WHAT ARE THE MAJOR DIFERENCES FROM A 5800 GPS RECEIVER AN A R8 RECEIVER. THE R8 GPS DOES NOT NESSECARILY HAVE GNSS CAPABILTIES.

If you purchased a Trimble R8 model 1, the major difference between the Trimble R8 and the Trimble 5800 is that the R8 has the ability to track the GPS signal L2C. In my opinion, the L2C is not a significant feature.
