If you have a tripod, you need a Tri-Ped.  The Tri-Ped attaches to any tripod or bipod and anchors each leg with weight and non-slip tread.  The Tri-Ped greatly reduces the risk of damage to instruments on hard surfaces and in strong winds.  It's rugged design is resistant to heat, rain, and other harsh elements.
